 itioners\, local authorities\, policymakers and researches to discuss tren
 ds\, risks\, further research and lessons learned from the multitude of m
 ajor public events taking place over the course of the year 2024. This ev
 ent will look at security research needs and new threats\, advanced techno
 logies\, crisis preparedness\, and ethical and legal considerations in thi
 s field.\n\nThe growing complexity and scale of major public events\, such
  as international sporting championships\, or large music events\, present
  significant security challenges. These events attract global attention a
 nd large crowds\, making them potential targets for a range of threats\, f
