SUMMARY:CERIS workshop on solutions for first responders
DESCRIPTION:This thematic Workshop of the Community for European Research a
 nd Innovation for Security (CERIS) aims at presenting and discussing Europ
 ean research and innovative solutions\, as well as further capability need
 s relevant for enhancing first responders’ operational capabilities in 
 different rescue operations scenarios.\n\nInterested audience include secu
 rity practitioners\, especially fire services\, police and rescue agencie
 s\, but also innovators\, operators in emergency situations\, and nation
 al and EU policy makers on capabilities such as those related to search 
 and rescue operations in multi-hazardous conditions\, and disaster risk ma
 nagement. The Workshop will bring together updates and EU-funded projects 
 of innovative European technologies in this field.\n\nIt will be an occasi
 on to showcase groundbreaking technologies for first responders through de
 mos sessions\; present experiences and opportunities for collaborative res
 earch and innovation in Europe\; and discuss the innovation uptake of rese
