Today, ENACT launches its 9th Flash Report on AI and Law Enforcement. The report takes a closer look at the AI Act and how it might influence the ways in which law enforcement agencies (LEAs) across Europe deploy and regulate artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
The report synthesises observations from the ENACT SKB and highlights the multifaceted impact of the EU AI Act on law enforcement operations. The report explores the technology view, including the potential impact on research and development in the FCT domain; the markets and standards view and how it may impact procurement, market size and relevant standards; and the legal, ethical, and societal view alongside relevant observations from the SKB.
