ISCRAM 2026 is an international conference taking place in The Hague, hosted by Leiden University’s Campus The Hague. Under the theme “Building Stronger Futures – Ensuring Public Safety in Times of Crisis,” the conference examines how societies can better understand and respond to complex, overlapping crises driven by natural hazards, cybersecurity threats, artificial intelligence, climate change, public health challenges, and disruptions to critical infrastructure. By expanding its scope and emphasising a whole‑of‑society approach, ISCRAM 2026 highlights the vital role of citizens, communities, civil organisations, and businesses alongside professional crisis responders. Through presentations, discussions, and community engagement, the conference explores how collective awareness, societal participation, and cross‑sector collaboration are essential to building long‑term resilience and strengthening public safety in an increasingly interconnected risk landscape.
