The final events of the GATHERINGS project will bring together practitioners, policymakers, researchers and civil society representatives to discuss surveillance practices in public gatherings and their implications for public security, privacy and societal impact. The conference will present the project’s main results and launch the EU Handbook on Surveillance of Public Gatherings, followed by a hands-on workshop testing awareness-raising campaigns designed to support safer public events while minimising impacts on privacy and social outcomes.
