On 2 April 2026, ENACT was represented at the NOTIONES Project final conference, held at Lille Grand Palais in France. Organised in collaboration with INCYBER Forum, the event marked the conclusion of a five-year Horizon 2020 initiative dedicated to strengthening cooperation between security practitioners, academia and industry across Europe.
ENACT was represented by André Alegria of the Polícia Judiciária (PJ), who shared insights into how the network has approached synthesising knowledge for the Fight Against Crime and Terrorism (FCT) community. As part of a session dedicated to the practical application of emerging technologies, the presentation highlighted ENACT’s role in supporting stronger links across the European security research ecosystem and aligning innovation with practitioner needs.
The conference programme brought together a diverse range of experts from military, civil and judicial authorities to discuss the impact of technological change on national security. Key discussions throughout the day addressed pressing issues such as the misuse of Artificial Intelligence by criminal organisations, the development of RAG-based language technologies, and collective efforts to tackle terrorist content online.
Participation in the NOTIONES final conference provided an opportunity to showcase ENACT’s results alongside peer projects. By exchanging perspectives with practitioners and fellow networks, ENACT continues to reinforce the importance of cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange in building a more resilient and secure Europe.
