ENACT is pleased to publish the latest iteration of the FCT Periodic Maps, covering the period from September 2025 to February 2026. Developed through the work of the four ENACT observatories, the maps provide an updated overview of trends across capabilities, technologies, markets and standards, and ethical, legal and societal considerations in the Fight against Crime and Terrorism (FCT) domain.
This new set of maps highlights the continued importance of Cybercrime, Organised Crime, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Forensics, Data Analytics, and Data Storage and Exchange across the FCT landscape. The findings also point to strong demand for intelligence-led and data-driven operational capabilities, with recurring attention to information systems security, investigation and forensics, digital investigation, critical communications, advanced connectivity, and the ethical and legal implications of emerging technologies.
