The CERIS Workshop “Research and Innovation against Illicit Drugs: From Foresight to Operational Impact” will take place on 5–6 May 2026 in Brussels, Belgium. The event will bring together policymakers, practitioners, researchers, EU agencies, civil society and industry to explore how EU-funded security research can support responses to drug trafficking and related threats.
The workshop will address topics such as drug markets, organised crime, forensic capabilities, border and customs controls, and the societal impact of drug trafficking, with a focus on translating research results into operational tools for law enforcement.
