Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre – EC3 will host the third Cybercrime Conference on 16 and 17 October 2024 , focused on the theme “Detect, investigate, and disrupt”.
Detection, investigation and disruption, the key pillars of the fight against cybercrime, will be discussed from various perspectives, thanks to the diverse audience and speakers representing private sector, academia, international organisations and law enforcement. The three pillars will be analysed in the light of important recent cybercrime operations, future cybercrime challenges, and successful partnerships. The conference will place special emphasis on “disruption”, focussing on access to data and the implications of emerging technologies.
Alongside the plenary sessions, the programme will also include a number of side events on specific questions of interest such as the role of law enforcement in relation to e-governance, international capacity building, and cybercrime prevention. Various presentations on forensics-related topics will be offered. EC3’s private partners will share their insights on threats in a dedicated event.
